Join Russian Hill and the growers, vintners, restauraters and food producers of the Russian River Valley in a three day celebration of food, wine and fun. Learn about this great appellation through in depth wine tastings, vineyard tours, scenic bike riding, river kayaking and the ever popular Hog in the Fog barbecue.
Russian Hill will be featured together with Windsor Oaks Vineyard and Zazu Restaurant in one of the Jeep Tours, "A Day at the Summit". Join us as we Jeep up to the summit of Windsor Oaks Vineyard for panoramic views of northwestern Sonoma County. At the top, grapegrower Doug Lumgair will discuss the trails and tribulations of growing under such rugged conditions in higher terrain. Russian Hill winemaker Patrick Melley will then lead you through a vertical tasting of the first releases and a special pre-release tasting of his 2003 Windsor Oaks Summit Syrah. John Stewart, chef and co-owner of the celebrated Zazu and Bovolo restaurants, will prepare his famous salumi sausage to accompany the wines. This will be a day of big views, big sausage and big wines. Come prepared with camera, sun screen and good shoes.
