We attempt to save a small amount of inventory of our wines for our Library, where the wines are cellar aged for future enjoyment. A few times a year, we select specific wines that are suitable for a special Library Release, providing our customers the opportunity to enjoy wines that have aged and matured. These wines may (or may not) show less fruit characteristics than on orginal release but they will show a beautiful integration of the various components of the wine and the development of "vinocity", the quality that makes wine so much more than just flavored alcohol. Please enjoy these wines we have cellared for you and feel free to call the winey if you have any questions. Note that quantities available for purchase are limited.
A classic, leaner styled Pinot noir with flavors of tea leaves, cedar and cigar box predominating over the fruit components of red raspberry and black berry. A touch of minerality integrates the wine beautifully.
Our “classic styled” Leras Pinot is true to form in 2008. Whether due to the vineyard’s older, heritage clone or its cooler and lower location, this wine is typically Old World in style. On the nose, there are aromas of mushroom, sassafras and pomegranate. The palate has flavors of raspberry and earth and the wine has a refreshing briskness.
A rich Pinot noir loaded with the flavors of ripe cherry, sassafras and cola in a true-to-form Russian River Valley style. This is a weighty Pinot with excellent mouthfeel and a luscious quality.
Our 2010 Estate Pinot greets you with aromas of boysenberry and spicy sandalwood. On the palate, the rich, velvety mouthfeel gives the immediate sense of a luxurious wine. The flavors of plum, boysenberry, blueberry and cassis are enhanced by the long finish.
