Our 2012 Viognier is true to its variety with flavors of honeysuckle and white peach with touches of citrus and lychee. The wine was made in a style that is light and refreshing and is a welcome alternative to more commonly produced white varieties. This is a great summer wine that pairs beautifully with “exotic” foods.

Our Gail Ann’s Chardonnay is always an interesting synthesis of the best that warm and cool locales have to offer and the 2009 vintage is no exception. The warm, sunny afternoons of the season allowed for ample ripening, developing rich tropical flavors of pineapple and melon. The notably cool evenings of the Russian River Valley added restraint, minerality and the classic Chardonnay flavors of pear and apple. Exotic touches of sandalwood round out this refreshing wine.

The overwhelming response from our tasting panel was “what a nose”!!!. Aromas of black cherry with touches of cinnamon and other baking spices ac- company this almost black-red wine. The palate is broad and gives way to flavors of black raspberry, leather and sweet oak with a touch of orange peel on the finish. The mouth is rich and smooth with a long, lingering finish.

This deep garnet wine has a complex nose of spice, boysenberry, black tea and forest floor. On the palate the wine has a refreshing, brisk mouthfeel with rich flavors of plum, blueberry, boysenberry, cinnamon, clove and sassafras cola. The beauty of the wine is in its bright, well defined flavors and its long finish.

This more “classic” styled Pinot noir has a firm structure, refreshing acidity, a touch of austerity and a complex medley of flavors. There are aromas of tobacco, black cherry and black pepper that follow through on the palate with additional touches of smokiness and boysenberry. A wonderful Pinot to accompany grilled lamb or other red meats and excellent for laying down in the cellar.
